Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Meets with Executive Management of Hadhramout Foundation and Partner Organizations in Mukalla
His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with Council member Mr. Othman Megali, met at the Presidential Palace in Mukalla. The meeting was attended by Hadhramout Governor Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, and the Advisor to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Eng. Omar Mohsen Al-Amoudi, along with the executive management of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, represented by Eng. Tareq Ali Balkhasher, and the directors of partner organizations working in the development sector.
During the meeting, His Excellency highlighted the important role played by third sector organizations in consolidating the foundations of development alongside state institutions. He praised the achievements of Hadhramout Foundation and its partner organizations in providing the local community with skilled human resources capable of making a positive change and linking the present with the future through a variety of targeted programs.
The Executive General Manager of the Foundation, Eng. Tareq Balkhasher, conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Board of Founders, Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Eng. Ahmed Salem Bashawayh, and all members of the Board of Trustees. He reviewed the Foundation's accomplishments and current plans, which focus on targeted scholarships based on community needs to measure their impact in the future. He emphasized the Foundation's reliance on planning in formulating its developmental programs and aligning with the global call to achieve sustainable development goals.
His Excellency commended the directions of Hadhramout Foundation in enhancing technical education and vocational training, noting its interventions in this vital field as crucial to strengthening the national economy.
His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the significant contributions of businessman Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, one of the pioneers of the national private sector in the country, and for the young people leading the programs of these organizations. They collectively set an exemplary model of sincere community participation in local development.
Eng. Tareq Balkhasher stated in the meeting, "At Hadhramout Foundation, we stand united with state institutions in addressing strategic national issues related to investing in people and contributing to the eradication of unemployment through professional programs like “Life is Work” program. We aim to bridge the gap between university outputs and labor market requirements by providing on-job training for recent graduates, focused training on practical skills in specialties, supporting productive families, empowering youth, and enhancing their capabilities in both academic and professional fields.”
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulqader Baessa, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hadhramout Cultural Foundation, Dr. Abdullah Baghumian, Executive Director of Daw'an Mud Brick Architecture Foundation, Eng. Ali Basaed, Executive Director of Es’ham Foundation for Development, and Ms. Nuha bin Suhailan, Executive Director of Adalah Foundation.
