Deputy Governor Al-Amri inaugurates the receipt of modern equipment and tools at the Industrial Vocational Institute in Seiyun as part of the TVT program

The Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Districts, Mr. Amer Saeed Al-Amri, inaugurated the reception of modern equipment and tools at the Industrial Vocational Institute in Seiyun. The equipment was funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development through its implementing partner, Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development.

The Deputy Governor, accompanied by the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the Valley and Desert of Hadramout, Mr. Mahboub Faraj, and the executive managers of both Al-Awn Foundation for Development and Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Othman and Eng. Tareq Balkhasher, was briefed by the institute's specialists on the functions of these devices. The equipment includes modern industrial control systems (PLC) and advanced tools for testing and inspecting electric diesel injectors, identifying faults in electrical circuits, and automatically testing diesel pumps. The officials noted that the introduction and teaching of these devices, the first of their kind in the Hadhramout Valley, will bring about a qualitative leap in the institute's curricula, keeping pace with modern advancements in the automotive industry across various vehicle sizes and types.

Deputy Governor Al-Amri emphasized the local authority's interest in enhancing the infrastructure of technical education, considering it the backbone of development in every country and a safe source of livelihood. He praised the collaborative activities between the local authority, Al-Awn Foundation for Development, and Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, which are carried out for the benefit of the local community.

On the sidelines of the equipment handover, a ceremony was held at the Women and Children's Hall to mark the conclusion of the TVT project, which aimed to support technical education and vocational training in Hadhramout. The project was carried out in two phases: the first phase involved sending staff from the Industrial Technical Institute in Mukalla and the Industrial Vocational Institute in Seiyun to receive specialized training in Egypt, which was designed to meet local needs and positively impact the training performance of Hadhramout's technical and vocational institutes. The second phase involved equipping the institutes with tools and devices that the trained staff would use to transfer their knowledge to the institutes' students.

During the ceremony, the Executive Manager of Al-Awn Foundation for Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Othman, emphasized the foundation's current strategy to support technical and vocational education and contribute to strengthening this type of education, as it is directly linked to fostering development in any country. He praised the successful partnership with Hadhramout Foundation in programs and projects that achieve the goals of both parties.

For his part, the Executive Manager of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, Eng. Tareq Balkhasher, highlighted the importance of this project, which studied the needs of the vocational institutes and provided them with the necessary skills and educational tools. He stated, "At the Hadhramout Foundation, we prioritize technical education and vocational training within our various programs and projects aimed at advancing education in Hadhramout and the nation as a whole."

The ceremony also saw the recognition of the local authority in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramout for its facilitation, care, and support of civil society organizations, as well as for its efforts in promoting technical education and vocational training. The Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramout, represented by its Director General, Mr. Mahboub Aman, was honored for its efforts and constructive cooperation in achieving the project's goals. Additionally, the Sheban Trading Group was recognized for supplying and installing the equipment and devices related to the project.
