Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development welcomed a high-level delegation that included Mr. Peter, First Secretary at the Dutch Embassy, Dr. Marieke, Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands, as well as a team from the Dutch Embassy in Yemen and representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The delegation was briefed on the activities and projects implemented by the Foundation in the field of human development.

The delegation was received by Eng. Tareq Balkhasher, the Executive General Manager of the Foundation, along with members of the Executive Administrative Board. During the meeting, Eng. Tareq welcomed the delegation and conveyed the greetings of Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, Chairman of the Board of Founders, and Eng. Ahmed Bashawyeh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He noted that this visit marks an important step toward signing a memorandum of understanding and establishing joint cooperation on projects of mutual interest with both the Dutch Embassy and FAO.

On her part, Ms. Doaa Al-Habshi, director of the Partnerships and International Cooperation Department at the Foundation, gave a detailed presentation on the Foundation’s development experience, its diverse fields of work, and its key programs and projects, in addition to its future development directions.

The visiting delegation praised the significant contributions made by Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, Chairman of the Board of Founders, in supporting the Foundation's projects and commended the Foundation's openness to international partnerships to expand its beneficiary base. They also lauded the governance mechanisms adopted in managing these projects and expressed their readiness to establish an effective partnership with the Foundation.

The delegation noted that they had not previously encountered an institution with this level of activity, emphasizing that the existence of such a Foundation in Yemen under the current circumstances represents a major challenge and reflects a strong sense of responsibility by its founders toward Hadhramout and Yemen in general.

In a related context, Hadhramout Cultural Foundation, the Daw'an Architecture Foundation, and Essham Foundation for Development—all founded by Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan—presented their various activities and programs as strategic partners of Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development.
