Mohammed Ali Bin Basri Al-Saqqaf, a scholarship student of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development studying in India, achieved a significant scientific and entrepreneurial milestone during his participation in the Smart India Hackathon held in Kashmir, organized by the Indian government.
Al-Saqqaf and his team presented an innovative idea titled "ISE", an educational system based on Virtual Reality (VR) technology aimed at supporting children with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities.
The project seeks to enhance the social and communication skills of children with special needs by immersing them in realistic life environments.
The student had the opportunity to present his innovative idea to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who interacted with participants via video call.
The project received widespread acclaim from officials as a pioneering model that leverages digital technology to improve the lives of children with special needs.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, Chairman of the Board of Founders of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, praised Al-Saqqaf's achievement, noting that it reflects the foundation's vision of empowering its students to excel in international forums.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Saqqaf was the only Arab student participating in the Smart India Hackathon.
