The Governor of Hadhramout Discusses Preparations for Launching Two Rural Girl Education Projects for 400 Girls in 8 Districts of the Governorate
arrangements for the commencement of the Rural Girl Education Project for the year 2520 AD. This initiative, under the "Regular Bachelor’s Program," is funded by Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, Selah Foundation for Development, and Wadi Al-Ain Social Development Organization.
During a meeting today in Mukalla with Eng. Tareq Ali Balkhasher, the Executive General Manager of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, and Mr. Ali Hassan Bashmakh, the Executive Director of Selah Foundation for Development, the governor reviewed the project components. This initiative will benefit 400 female students from 8 districts: Amad, Dawan, Huraidha, Rakhyah, Wadi Al Ayn and Hura, Al Dhalyiah, Al-Qatn, and Yab'uth. The students will pursue regular studies at Hadhramout University and SeiyunUniversity, as part of the continuation of previous successful experiences in rural girl education projects.
The project will be preceded by a comprehensive workshop this week, involving the participation of government university heads, local authorities, and directors of education offices in the targeted districts. The workshop aims to discuss the arrangements needed to ensure the success of this project, which costs 2 billion and 600 million Yemeni riyals. Additionally, it will address the reasons behind students’ reluctance to enroll in education faculties
