"Life is work" Program :
Program idea:
Based on the pioneering role of Hadhramaut Foundation for Human Development in developing the scientific and practical energies of youth in various fields of life, the Foundation took the initiative when it opened a door for youth to vocational training through the adoption of "Life is Work" program, which includes specialized courses that contribute to provide the unemployed Professional skills that ensure the correct direction of their abilities and energies to create characters and a profession that brings them and their families a decent living.
Which in turn contributes to undermining the phenomenon of unemployment among youth. This is a course that contributes to protect youth from slipping into deviation or extremism.
On this basis, the Foundation is interested in establishing specialized vocational courses requested by the labor market in coordination with the technical education and vocational training offices in coast and Valley Hadhramaut, and the institutes and institutions concerned.
Life is Work program is part of the technical education and vocational training sector, which is given special attention by the Foundation in its capacity development and skills development plans because of its great importance in meeting the requirements of the labor market and national development plans. The outputs of the various vocational courses in the technical and vocational disciplines represent insurance for trainees who are unemployed, achieve family stability, reduce the number of unemployed persons, reduce the social effects of this phenomenon, and increase the labor market by skilled labor.
Program Objectives :
• The overall objective (outcome): contributing to reduce the number of unemployed among the youth in Hadhramaut governorate.
• Detailed objectives (expected results from the program):
1- Acquiring young people of both sexes, in Hadhramaut, technical, vocational and professional skills that enable them to create jobs for them and thus empowering them and their families.
2- Protecting youth from slipping towards extremism and perverse manifestations by encouraging a culture of love of work, mastery and creativity.
3- Enhancing the social role of educational institutions concerned with vocational training.
4- Supplying the labor market with skilled and productive labor.
Target group of program:
The program is aimed at youth who have stumbled on their path and closed their doors to get jobs, according to the following:
- Youth of university degree holders who did not find jobs in government and private work and passed some years on the job queue.
- Youth from high school graduates who have low rates in the secondary school certificate and did not qualify them for admission to universities and institutes that determine certain percentages in the admission and registration requirements.
- Youth who did not complete their secondary or basic education, as well as those who completed the basic education certificate.
- Youth who are forced by circumstances to seek another job alongside their basic work in order to improve their income and meet the difficult living conditions.
Target Group:
The Yemeni community in Hadhramaut in general, and the families of the target group in particular, through what will be reflected by the outputs of the program to find or create employment opportunities contribute positively to improve the living situation for them and their families.
