Under the Coordination of Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development, Al-Khanbashi Sponsors the Signing of the “Kafa’a” Program Agreement to Prepare Hadhramout University Graduates for the Petroleum Sector

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramout, Mr. Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, sponsored this morning in the city of Mukalla the signing ceremony of the “Kafa’a” (Competency) Program Agreement for preparing graduates for careers in the petroleum sector. The program targets students of Hadhramout University specializing in Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering, and is funded and implemented by the Masila Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (PetroMasila) in coordination with Hadhramout Foundation – Human Development.

Al-Khanbashi commended the agreement, describing it as a significant step toward enhancing graduates’ capabilities and aligning university educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market in the petroleum sector. He emphasized the importance of partnerships between academic institutions and national organizations in preparing qualified professionals capable of contributing to the economic development of the governorate.

The Kafa’a Program aims to train 60 students from the Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering disciplines over the course of three cohorts, with each cohort undergoing a one-month training program. The initiative is designed to equip participants with advanced practical and technical competencies and prepare them for effective integration into professional petroleum industry environments.
