The Board of Trustees of Hadhramout Foundation - Human Development, chaired by Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Bugshan, announced the issuance of Resolution No. 1 for the year 2023 approving "Lamsat Wafa'' grants as an everlasting charity for the foundation’s students who died while studying in scholarship countries, and registration begins today, Sunday, May 28, 2023, and ends on Monday, June 26, 2023.

These grants come in compliance with the hadith of the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: "On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that Allah's Messenger, may the blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "When a son of Adam (i.e., any human being) dies, his deeds are discontinued, with three exceptions: Sadaqah, whose benefit is continuous; knowledge, from which benefit continues to be reaped; or a righteous child who supplicates for him." [Reported by Muslim].

The idea of the grant arose after the council considered honoring the outstanding students who passed away while they were on external scholarships and commemorating them.

The grants included a grant to study the Egyptian Fellowship in the field of pediatric surgery and to study a master’s degree in Qur'an interpretation and sciences, in addition to eight grants for a bachelor’s degree in various scientific and humanities fields, as shown in the table of details below.
